I just want to thank every­one for a killer time at Molly’s on the 27^th of June. There were lots of famil­iar faces, plus many more new ones.

It was excit­ing to have such a cool stage, a mas­ter­ful sound guy, and our gui­tarist Dave all in one show. Every­thing sounded superb and we all agreed after­ward that this one was the best fun we’ve had so far. We had a spe­cial guest from Mono’s drum group come up on the stage and pound out Dream­line with us. As a mat­ter of fact, the whole dang drum group was there cheer­ing us on. Thanx guys. I also want to intro­duce and thank our new stage man­ager, Tom Horn, who we have recently wel­comed into the band to help us tame our tech­ni­cal issues. We have plans…

After our show, we were treated to the amaz­ing musi­cian­ship of Train of Thought. These are our friends from River­side Co. If you like Dream The­ater, these are the guys to see. Not only are they great musi­cians, but they are seri­ous techies too, as demon­strated by Scott Berry, the key­boardist, play­ing his key­board via his iphone dur­ing the per­for­mance. I was grat­i­fied to hear a sweet ren­di­tion of Pull me Under, and was hon­ored to be invited up on the stage to sing a Rush tune, Tem­ples of Syrinx, with Steve Boyd. Thank you also Tony Bur­nett on the gui­tars, Jeremy Meeks on the Bass, and Ricardo Sara­bia on Drums,  for a mem­o­rable night.

Lastly, I want to announce that on Sat­ur­day, August 8, we will be back at Dream­street in Ocean Beach with spe­cial guest Chil­dren of the Grave. These guys are San Diego’s best early Black Sab­bath trib­ute and we are seri­ously look­ing for­ward to shar­ing the stage with them.
