I just want to thank everyone for a killer time at Molly’s on the 27th of June.
There were lots of familiar faces, plus many more new ones.
It was exciting to have such a cool stage, a masterful sound guy, and our guitarist Dave all in one show. Everything sounded superb and we all agreed afterward that this one was the best fun we’ve had so far. We had a special guest from Mono’s drum group come up on the stage and pound out Dreamline with us. As a matter of fact, the whole dang drum group was there cheering us on. Thanx guys. I also want to introduce and thank our new stage manager, Tom Horn, who we have recently welcomed into the band to help us tame our technical issues. We have plans…
After our show, we were treated to the amazing musicianship of Train of Thought. These are our friends from Riverside Co. If you like Dream Theater, these are the guys to see. Not only are they great musicians, but they are serious techies too, as demonstrated by Scott Berry, the keyboardist, playing his keyboard via his iphone during the performance. I was gratified to hear a sweet rendition of Pull me Under, and was honored to be invited up on the stage to sing a Rush tune, Temples of Syrinx, with Steve Boyd. Thank you also Tony Burnett on the guitars, Jeremy Meeks on the Bass, and Ricardo Sarabia on Drums, for a memorable night.
Lastly, I want to announce that on Saturday, August 8, we will be back at Dreamstreet in Ocean Beach with special guest Children of the Grave. These guys are San Diego’s best early Black Sabbath tribute and we are seriously looking forward to sharing the stage with them.
Thanks again for making the time to come and hear us play our favourite tunes, at a killer stage. Here are a few photos from the show…
